Julie Follette

Hello My Name Is...

Julie Follette

I went to school at Black Hills State University in Spearfish SD,
the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND  and Salus University in Elkins Park, PA.
I earned a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Masters of Science in Special Education with Emphasis in Visual Impairment and Blindness, and a National Certification in Orientation and Mobility.
I chose to be a teacher because I wanted to teach children to read and I gain a real energy from young children. I was asked to studied Early Childhood Special Education, Blind and Visual Impairment and Orientation and Mobility because these populations of students are so under-served birth through life.  I had the opportunity to study and I hope I can make a difference in one person's life by teaching them skills to increase their confidence, hope and independence.

As a Teacher for Blind and Visually Impaired and a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist, I have the opportunity to work with many students in the Northwest area of Minnesota.  I am in Crookston on Mondays and Fridays of each week.
