DEPT: Industrial Technology

Welcome to Ms. Boll Industrial Technology Web-page. The courses that are being taught by Ms. Boll include 7th grades Exploring Technology, 8th grade Principals of Engineering, 7th and 8th Grade Projects, Beginning CAD and Graphic Design (Pirates Cove). 

The 7th grade students will be learning what Industrial Technology is and how it effects our lives. The students will also be learning to us Mechanical Drawing Instruments and power tools Scroll Saws & Drill Press.  They will be Constructing and racing a Co2 Car. 

The 8th Grades students will be taking a classed called Principals of Engineering. In this class they will be learning how to produce and Isometric and Orthographic Drawing.  They will have the first exposure to blue print reading. Learn how to fallow plans and construct a woods project of their choice, (Gun Rack, DVD/CD/ Book Case, Shelf, Fishing Rack/Hockey Stick Holder, Clock, Cap Rack Holder.

The 7th and 8th Grade Projects the students will be using hand tools and Power tools to be able to construct their projects (Candy Machine, Name Plate, Napkin Holder, Penny Hockey Board, Clipboard). 

Beginning CAD Beginning CAD is an Introduction to Mechanical Engineering, Architectural and 3d Modeling. In this class students are exposed to the world of drafting. 

Graphic Design (Pirates Cove) Students will be learning how to use Corel Draw and Smart Design software. They will learn how to Screen Print, use the Vinyl Sign Cutter and the Laser Engraver.  They students will be creating T-shirts and signs for the community.  They will learn about the design process.
