Department: Special Education

 Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday

Welcome to the speech-language pathology page for Highland Elementary School and Crookston High School. This is my tenth year as an SLP, but first working in Minnesota schools.  I'm originally from Winnipeg, Canada.  I lived in the Twin Cities while getting my Master's degree and have been living in Crookston for the past five years.  My husband is a Crookston native and we live here with our two wonderful (and busy!) young children.  I'm very happy to get to live and work in the same wonderful community.

In my current role, I work with students who have speech or language disorders and address areas such as articulation, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, problem-solving skills, inferencing skills, or teaching alternative methods of communication.  My goal is help teach students the skills and strategies necessary to be successful communicators in the classroom and beyond.

I am using SeeSaw as a way to communicate with families of the children I work with. If your child is receiving speech or language services through HES or CHS and you have not yet signed up for SeeSaw, please contact me and I'll get you another copy of the invitation. This is a wonderful way of getting glimpses of what your child is working on in his or her speech/language sessions, and is important to help promote carryover to the home setting as well.

If your child is not currently receiving speech or language services through the school but you have concerns in this area, please either contact me directly or share your concerns with the classroom teacher.  The best way to contact me is through email at If this is not an option, please call my office at Highland at 218-281-5600, ext. 2443.
