Agriculture Student Scholarships 

Harvest Some Financial Aid 

Amount: $1,000.

Due Date: March 1st 2023

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR must be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture such as agricultural extension, agricultural education, soil conservation, farm and ranch management, agricultural finance, veterinary medicine or agribusiness.

  • Applicants must be residents of a county served by AgCountry in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

Amount: $1,500.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a high school senior (public, private or home-schooled) or enrolled in college full time (minimum of 12 credit hours).

  • Must be planning to pursue a degree in a qualifying area of study.

  • Must be planning to attend a vocational, 2-year or 4-year qualifying ag related study program after high school.

  • Must meet a minimum 2.5 GPA requirement.

  • Must obtain no less than two electronic endorsements from qualifying farmers who live or farm in an eligible county.

  • CHS Foundation university partners are two- and four-year colleges and universities across the CHS trade territory.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a farmer, rancher or be the wife, daughter or a close relative of a farmer, rancher or other person employed in agriculture. 

  • There must be an economic or financial need. 

  • Knowledge of or work experience in agriculture. 

  • Grade Point Average or placement tests are considered. Scholarship funds maybe used for tuition for recognized courses in agriculture leadership, technology, communications, education, rural sociology, medicine or other courses directly related to agriculture and the needs in agricultural communities.

  •  Three signed and dated letters of reference need to be provided with the application.

Amount: $1,000.

Due Date: April 21st 2023

Eligibility:  

  • Graduating high school senior pursuing a technical or vocational school education in one or more of the following fields of study: 

-Packaging

-Power Generation Technology

-Electrical

-Mechanical

-Process Technology

How to Apply: Scholarship applications are available from the Student Counselor’s office. Completed applications are turned into the high school counselor’s office – not to American Crystal Sugar Company.

Amount: $1,000.

Due Date: April 21st 2023

Eligibility:  

  • graduating high school senior pursuing post-secondary education in one or more of the following fields of study:

-Science

-Technology

-Engineering

-Mathematics

-Agriculture

Students interested in pursuing careers in agriculture will find a wide range of scholarship opportunities designed to help them complete their college education. Scholarships for students majoring in agricultural studies are as diverse as the field itself, and cover everything from farming and ranching to agronomy, crop and soil sciences, food sciences, horticulture and plant pathology. A wide range of professional career opportunities are available for agriculture majors, from farm management and animal husbandry to scientific research, natural resources management and food safety administration.

 

Scholarships for agriculture majors are sponsored by a variety of sources, including Federal and state governments, professional associations, and colleges and universities. Students looking for agriculture scholarships will find that many programs target specific agricultural related disciplines, and my require recipients to be enrolled in a particular course of study or at a partnering college or university.
