Scholarship Requirements / Eligibility:

Graduating high school seniors.

Must be a member of Expedition Credit Union, or the child, grandchild, or dependent of a member to be eligible for the award.

Must be planning to attend a university, college, or community college in the fall of 2023.
- It is not necessary to demonstrate a financial need for the award.

Scholarship Requirements / Eligibility:

Demonstrate the attributes of leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship within their communities, schools, and workplaces

Display strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent)

Be citizens of the United States of America

Be current high school seniors attending high school within the United States, (including any U.S. territories or commonwealths), and graduating in winter 2022 or spring 2023. Applicants living on a U.S. Armed Forces base and attending high school outside the U.S. are eligible.

Plan to enroll in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four‑year college or university in the United States for the entire 2023-2024 academic school year

Scholarship Requirements / Eligibility:

High school seniors from the following Minnesota counties: Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the woods, Koochiching, Marshall, Beltrami, Itasca, Pennington, Red Lake, Clearwater, and Polk.

Must be planning college study in fields like science, mathematics, engineering, medicine, nursing, biology, chemistry, physics, animal science, Forestry and wildlife management. This is not a complete list and is intended only as a guide.

GPA of 3.5 or greater.

ACT test score of 26 or SAT score of 1200 or greater.

The student must complete and submit the ONLINE application. The 2023 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 6, 2023 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.

The Elk sponsor’s membership will be verified through the BPOE Grand Lodge headquarters.

When a student registers to complete the online application, both the applicant and Lodge Secretary will be notified by email.

Upon receipt of the application, the applicant will receive a notification that the application was received. Winners will be announced in late April 2023.
Scholarship Requirements / Eligibility:

Are you the child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2020, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2020? Your Elk sponsor must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2023. Great-grandchildren are not eligible. If your parent and grandparent are both Elk members, you should apply through the parent's Elks Lodge.

Are you planning to attend an accredited U.S. school, college or university? (Note: Applicants from Guam, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

Scholarship Requirements / Eligibility:

Focus of work and entries: PHOTOJOURNALISM. Scholarships will be awarded to those students whose work “tells a story”. Please keep in mind, for the still photography submissions, that we are NOT looking for “art” photography.

High school students applying for these scholarships must have completed one year at an accredited high school (student must therefore be a sophomore or older) and should have taken at least one photography or related art class.

The applicant must be a United States citizen.

The applicant’s school must be in the United States. (U.S. citizens attending U.S. government schools outside of the US may apply.)
