Dear Parents/District Families,
The Crookston School Board is conducting a search for the district's next superintendent and is looking for input from district stakeholders.  An important part of the search process is gathering stakeholder input for the Board to consider as it moves forward in selecting the next superintendent.  The Crookston School Board has contracted with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assistance to the District with their search.  Please click the link below to check out the superintendent vacancy brochure information prepared by MSBA.

Parent/Family input regarding the superintendent search is now being requested.  A public online survey is available for parents/families to fill out.  This short five question online survey will be available/open from January 3, 2023 through January 15, 2023.  All responses to the online survey are anonymous.  The data and comments from the online survey will provide valuable input for the Board to consider as they move forward in selecting the next superintendent for the Crookston School District.

The Crookston Public School Board seeks a superintendent with proven leadership experience who:

  • Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community

  • Is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications

  • Delegates authority while maintaining accountability

  • Develops and directs an effective leadership team

  • Has experience in implementing educational priorities

  • Develops trust and works collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders

  • Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents and community

Previous superintendent experience preferred, but not required.

To be considered for this position, an applicant’s completed file must be received by MSBA prior to 11:59 p.m. on February 6, 2023.
