Drivers Education
Driver Education – Crookston Public Schools
Crookston Public Schools offers Driver Education to students enrolled in the district. Sessions are available year-round: Spring (2), Summer (2), Fall (1), and Winter (1).
Registration (Winter Session)
Complete the registration form and return it to the Crookston High School office or email the instructor. Must be 15 years old by the registration deadline. Forms are available in the high school office or for download.
Minnesota Requirements (Under Age 18)
Students must complete: 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, and a supervised driving log (required at the road test). Driving log options: With parent class: 40 hours total (15 nighttime). Without parent class: 50 hours total (15 nighttime). Parent classes are offered throughout the year, and a completion certificate is required for the 40-hour option.

Fees & Policy
$325 total cost (classroom + driving). Payment due before the first day. No refunds once the course begins — no exceptions. Students are expected to complete all required coursework.
Required Documentation
Before they can take the test. Students must present to the examiner a Certified copy of their:
Birth Certificate and Social Security Card (not laminated)
