Crookston Public Schools is committed to the goal of providing quality education for every child in the District. Title I Part A is a Federal program under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) that provides supplemental funding to schools with a high percentage of low-income children. The goal is to close achievement gaps by supporting students who are not meeting state academic standards in reading and math with targeted support either through the core classroom teacher as supported by the Title I staff, or through pull out interventions administered by certified Title I teaching staff. Highland PTO
Our school's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists to enhance the school experience for Highland students. This group of volunteers' sole purpose is to establish and nurture a close relationship between the parents, teachers, and students.
The PTO provides assistance to teachers in classroom settings, raises funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. The Highland PTO meets monthly in the Highland School Office Conference Room. Membership is free!
