up some scholarships! There are many great scholarships with June deadlines for high school, college, and even graduate students. Remember, every dollar you win with a June scholarship is a a free dollar to pay for college.

Each year, the Ennes Educational Foundation Trust offers scholarships to deserving candidates who aspire to a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. Scholarship awards are used for tuition, room and board or textbook costs at post-secondary educational institutions, or for other technical training programs approved by the Scholarship Committee.
Preference will be given to applicants who are SBE members; however, any individuals otherwise eligible, including graduating high school seniors, are encouraged to apply.

JFLF’s Welding Awards Program
Scholarship Value: $1,000

JFLF’s Welding Awards Program supports arc welding education, design and innovation at every educational level, from 4H to high school to college level. We also recognize welding excellence of instructors who teach welding and professional welders who work hard to further the scientific interest and advancement of arc welding. Recognizing both welding projects and technical papers, our welding awards program rewards the emerging welders of today and advances the field of welding for the welders of tomorrow.
Arc welding project submissions are open to all students 18 and younger who are enrolled in any school or training program. Students may submit written reports about the welding projects they have completed. The welding project may be a structure, a repair or an item made for home, farm, shop or recreational use. Students can submit a solo welding project, or work with a team of fellow students (five maximum, with instructor approval). Division I entries are first judged by region and then become eligible for national awards.
Kelly O. Memorial Nursing

Kelly O. was an inspiring ICU nurse who was a dear friend and wise mentor.
Kelly tragically passed away last year due to a very aggressive and rapid cancer. In her career, Kelly was a devoted and selfless nurse who demonstrated compassion and empathy in her daily work.
This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Kelly O. by supporting students who are beginning or continuing their nursing journeys.

Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is beginning their nursing journey or furthering their nursing career through an advanced degree may apply for this scholarship.

Pedro Zamora Young Leaders

Dedicated to continuing the legacy of AIDS educator and activist Pedro Zamora, the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship seeks to support the academic efforts of young activists working in their communities today. Using the HIV/AIDS activism movement as an example, the scholarship supports those taking up social justice work in its many forms and working at the intersection of these movements with their communities to drive progress.

We are looking to grow our scholarship program to embrace a broader interpretation of 21st century public health and health justice issues.
Examples of a scholarship recipient’s work may include but are not limited to:
A) HIV/AIDS research, prevention, treatment, access and activism
B) Public health and health justice
C) Reproductive health
D) Serving in peer education, prevention, and community resource programs
E) Racial justice
F) Immigrant rights

SELECTION CRITERIA
The scholarship is open to all current high school seniors and first-year college students, sophomores and juniors (ages 27 and younger), including those who are finishing their Bachelor’s degree. Our scholars' academic, extracurricular, or career pursuits are consistent with the goals of the scholarship program, demonstrate an active commitment to community justice work, and take on public service and leadership roles.

Students are able to apply for our $2,000 scholarship which can be used towards tuition for their next semester at college. All drawings will be done early August each year after submission deadlines have passed. All interested students will be required to write a short essay about their opinion on how Minecraft can be a positive influence within their education and career development.
Minecraft has been used in many different facets of education and we want to know how you believe that the game can be further utilized to enhance learning and development. We are interested in hearing your thoughts and experiences about how this amazing game that we love can be much more than just a game.
Eligible students

We are aware of how profoundly a cancer diagnosis affects the family dynamics and the emotional well being of each family member. Everything changes in a family when someone gets a cancer diagnosis. Parents have to quit jobs and focus on treatment and the family's income decreases drastically. Our goal is to support a student with a family connection to cancer continue his/her education. For this reason, we have decided to offer a little help to young people who witnessed a loved one’s devastating struggle with cancer in order to ease at least their financial situation.
Our asbestos scholarship fund was established over 50 years ago with the purpose of providing financial help to children and grandchildren of our clients whose asbestos litigation cases had been settled. Over 160 students receiving the asbestos scholarships have attended 47 colleges and universities, including Auburn University, University of Alabama, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Stillman College, Spelman College, and University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). In 2005 we extended the eligibility requirements to include all students who have a family member diagnosed with cancer.

Our firm hopes to foster this attitude for those who are pursuing similar careers, and we have established a scholarship program that provides assistance to students who are pursuing a degree in nursing or pharmacy. Each semester, we provide an award of $1,000 to a student in order to help them pursue their goals.
Eligibility Requirements
The goal of our scholarship program is to provide assistance to deserving students who are pursuing an education that will allow them to succeed in the healthcare field. To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

Selection Process
Our scholarship team will closely review all applications as we select a winner. This process can take time, but we expect to announce the winner within one month after the application deadline. During the review process, we will consider the following:

Fred and Diane Fitts Aviation Scholarship

NBAA Charities will award up to $2,500 to four individuals who are seeking career opportunities as a business aviation schedulers or dispatchers, maintenance professionals, pilots or flight attendants. Leaders Save Lives Scholarship Program

Sign up to host a blood drive while school is out of session and join the impressive group of youth across the nation who are helping save lives with the American Red Cross! You could earn leadership skills, volunteer hours, a gift card and be entered to win a scholarship.
To qualify for the American Red Cross Leaders Save Lives Program each Blood Program Leader must complete the following requirements:

Be currently enrolled in high school, college, university, technical school, trade school or community college.

Host an American Red Cross blood drive in the United States scheduled between June 1 – August 31, 2023.

The student may not adopt an existing blood drive. However, a student may adopt an existing Leaders Save Lives blood drive transitioned from the former Blood Program Leader.

Donor centers and regularly scheduled mobile operations are not eligible as blood drive sites.
-
A school may be used as a blood drive site as long as school is out of session.

The blood drive may have no more than one Blood Program Leader. Program rewards will not be split among multiple Blood Program Leaders.

Program may not be combined with the American Red Cross High School Scholarship Program, High School Club Program or Community Club Program.

The blood drive must achieve a minimum of 25 pints.

Results will be calculated from one blood drive operation.

Second Chance Scholarship Contest

Applicant Eligibility Requirements

The Second Chance College Scholarships Contest is open to citizens and aliens legally residing in the USA with High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States; the winner must enroll or already be enrolled for the Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 session.

Winner selection is NOT based on financial need, GPA, or demographic criteria.

Relatives of AFSA staff or NATIONAL board members may not enter.

Past winners of AFSA’s High School Senior Scholarship Contest or AFSA’s Second Chance College Scholarships Contest are not eligible to win this contest.

Scholarship entries are ONLY accepted online through the AFSA scholarship web site (www.afsascholarship.org).

Entrants must submit a completed entry form with all required information along with answering an 8-question exam. Before college scholarship funds will be awarded, all information submitted on the entry form by the entrant will be verified. If ANY false or misleading information is submitted on the entry form, the student will be disqualified without notification to the entrant.

Each entrant is allowed only ONE (1) ENTRY submittal. Any attempt to enter again under a different name, address, etc., will automatically disqualify the entrant without notification to the entrant.

Entrants selected as winners are required to submit the name and contact information of their chosen college/university/certified trade school* for verification of registration and payment of the scholarship to the school. All forms and processes must be completed within sixty (60) days of contest end date or your scholarship is forfeited.
Arctic Physical Therapy Scholarship

Eligibility
To be eligible for the "Arctic Physical Therapy Scholarship" a student must:
1) Be attending college or university no later than January of 2024.
2) Be attending college or university on a full-time or part-time basis by January of 2024.
3) Have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or greater during their last academic year.
*Note that you can be enrolled in any field of study.
Conquering Childhood Cancer Scholarship

Sometimes life presents us with difficult, life-shattering situations. As a personal injury law firm, Norden Leacox Accident & Injury Law sees the difficulties that come with a life-shattering medical diagnosis on a daily basis. While we can help those who have been in a personal injury accident seek justice, it is more difficult to support those who contracted a disease or medical condition in getting the assistance they need.
To help, our firm is happy to announce the 2023 Conquering Childhood Cancer Scholarship. As anyone who goes through a medical recovery will tell you, life is full of ups and downs, especially for pediatric cancer patients. We want this to be an opportunity for those who have experienced the impact of childhood cancer to share their story and for this scholarship to serve as a beacon of hope for others.

This opportunity is open to applicants who were diagnosed with pediatric cancer as well as those who have experiences with loved ones fighting the disease.

This scholarship is available to current high school seniors, college students, and graduate students who are legal residents in the United States. Additionally, the applicant must be enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution during the 2023 spring semester for eligibility.

Any employees, immediate family members, or same household residents of Norden Leacox Accident & Injury Law employees are ineligible for this scholarship award.

Applicants must be in good overall academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at their current institution.
Application Requirements

The candidate must submit a 750 – 1,000 word essay response to the prompt: tell us about your journey as a childhood cancer survivor or experiences supporting someone after a pediatric cancer diagnosis.

Be sure to detail your reaction to the diagnosis, life changes, and how you coped with the experience. Feel free to include as little or as much information as you are comfortable sharing.

The candidate should include a professional resumé that lists their experiences as part of their application.

The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. Applicants may include an unofficial transcript from their current school as well as the most recent official transcript from their prior school.
